Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough‘s friends have allegedly been trolling Lauren Dunn online after she urged people to stop attacking them.
ICYMI: After secretly texting each other behind Lauren’s back, Ellie and Jonathan debuted their relationship during the two-part Reunion, which rubbed fans the wrong way.
As a result, disgruntled viewers threatened to boycott Ellie’s workplace and sent her “disturbing” and “revolting” hate messages.
Despite being hurt by the couple on national TV, Lauren defended Jonathan and Ellie on Instagram, begging her fans to stop trolling them.
However, the pair don’t appear to have treated Lauren with the same respect. As revealed in episode 376 of the So Dramatic! podcast, several of the duo’s friends have allegedly been leaving nasty comments about Lauren on social media.
“Given how Lauren was treated by Jono and Ellie on the show, it was admirable that she was willing to put it all in the past and move on,” one source told So Dramatic!
“However, Lauren started noticing Jono and Ellie’s friends leaving horrible comments about her online. Which is rich, because Lauren’s been telling people to stop trolling them.”

The source claims that one of Jonathan’s mates left a nasty comment under a post on the MAFS Instagram page spreading rumours about Lauren.
“You guys going to mention how [Lauren] had a [boyfriend] while applying [for MAFS] and was also dating a fella in Bali the whole time filming was happening?” the comment read. “I hope you show the scene where she calls Jono a c*nt and a dog.”
Another one of Jonathan’s mates left a string of raised hands emojis in support of this scathing message.
However, on her second account, Lauren leapt to the comments section to defend herself from her business account @so.cooked.
“I didn’t apply like your mate Jono; I was scouted because I was single,” she responded. “I hope they show me call him every single insult.” Mic drop!

Meanwhile, Ellie’s bestie, who spoke out about the trauma she endured after being trolled, hypocritically left a comment completely disregarding Lauren’s feelings about the hardship she endured on-screen.
“LOL all you idiots saying [Ellie’s] a snake,” she wrote. “Lauren KNEW [Ellie and Jonathan] were speaking because there was NO cheating scandal.
“Jono reached out to Ellie to ask how she was after the experiment. Everything said between then has been above board, and they never met up until AFTER the show finished airing.”
Not only that, but Jonathan has also been making nasty videos about Ellie’s TV hubby, Ben Walters, and shading Lauren in interviews. Yet his friends are accusing Lauren of being a bully? Make it make sense!
