A Married at First Sight Australia insider has debunked Jonathan McCullough‘s claims that Lauren Dunn is threatening co-stars with legal action.
The fallout from Jonathan and Ellie Dix‘s cheating scandal only continues to pile up after it was revealed at the Reunion that they’d struck up a romance, despite the groom previously denying he was interested in Ellie.
The couple has since turned on Lauren in the media, with Jonathan telling Queensland radio station Hot Tomato that his TV wife “despised” him and “treated [him] so badly”.
When asked to share more details about his experience with Lauren, Jonathan hesitated.
“Lauren has threatened to get lawyers onto other people because they’ve said they’re gonna out her, so I don’t feel like getting lawyers onto me,” he alleged.
However, MAFS insiders denied these claims in episode 376 of the So Dramatic! podcast.
“Jono is flat-out lying,” one source said. “The only time Lauren threatened anyone from the cast with lawyers was Andrea [Thompson], and it had nothing to do with the show’s real storyline.
“It was about a personal conversation they had about something outside of the show.”

The insider said Jonathan is now “trying to twist” the legal threat against Andrea “to make it seem like Lauren is threatening cast members for speaking out about her”.
“That’s not the case at all,” they said. “Jono also said during a radio interview that Lauren was crying about Jayden [Eynaud] at the Dinner Party and not Ellie and Jono, but again, that’s not true. She was crying about Ellie and Jono.
“Jono is just in damage control and has started a full smear campaign against Lauren. It’s so nasty.”
It comes after another source told So Dramatic! that Jonathan was “actively trying to ruin” his TV wife’s reputation after their Final Vows.
