Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Lauren Dunn has denied rumours that she had a secret “Bali boyfriend” during filming.
ICYMI: It was revealed that Jonathan McCullough and Ellie Dix, who are now together IRL, were texting behind Lauren’s back during the experiment.

Sources tell New Idea that Jonathan wasn’t the only one cheating, because Lauren was allegedly “pining after a mystery man” she met in Bali just before filming commenced.
“Because Lauren had made it onto the show, she felt that she may as well make a go of things with whoever she was matched with,” the source dished.
“She’d told friends that this guy in Bali was ‘perfect’ for her, but she was still very curious to see what type of man the experts would choose for her.” Yikes.
Insiders also told the mag that Lauren, who “couldn’t stop thinking” about her Bali bae, will “come clean” to Jonathan and her co-stars in future episodes.
“‘In the beginning, Jono thought he could win Lauren over,” the source added. “But it seems like he had no chance if she was already hung up on somebody on the outside.” And boy, are we ready for the drama!
MAFS’ Lauren says she NEVER had a ‘Bali boyfriend’
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Lauren denied the secret boyfriend rumours.
“You’ve got to give it to some of these publications. They’re very good with their creative writing,” the PR and marketing consultant started. “It’s just a bit ridiculous. I didn’t have a Bali boyfriend.”
The 32-year-old said she told Jonathan about her Bali “fling” at the start of the experiment whilst the pair discussed their dating history.
“We were talking about our past hookups and who we’d been with. I mentioned I had a holiday fling before the show,” she explained.
“I feel like me being honest about that has come back to blow up in my face later. It’s almost being used against me.”
