Turns out, Lauren’s affinity for bringing chaos and calling people out cemented her as a top-tier participant among producers.

As reported in episode 357 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the Perth native was “praised by producers for making the show” and “driving up the drama factor every week”.

“Lauren was a producer’s favourite. She’s very likable, authentic and easy-going,” one production insider told So Dramatic!.

“She was easy to work with, polite, and treated all the crew and staff at Channel 9 with respect and kindness. Whereas other cast members didn’t.”

Married at First Sight producers loved that Lauren Dunn had ‘balls’ to call out her co-stars

The insider alleged that Lauren “really understood the assignment” when it came to playing the MAFS game.

As such, producers “loved her for it”.

“She always called out the bad behaviour and wasn’t afraid to stand up to the men, even some who were quite terrifying and intimidating and who other men were scared to confront,” they added.

“She’s definitely a girl’s girl and has balls, and that is obviously going to win over a lot of viewers.”

Lauren Dunn’s co-stars call out ‘unfair’ favouritism

While another person who works behind the scenes called Lauren the producers’ “favourite MAFS contestant ever”, her co-stars found the “very clear favouritism” frustrating.

“Lauren pushed the boundaries and rules a lot during filming,” one participant said.

“She would break curfew all the time and never wear her approved outfits, but they let her get away with it.”

They concluded: “It was pretty unfair and very clear favouritism. She was very favoured by production and the experts all throughout filming.”

This comes after sources revealed Lauren didn’t sign her contract for the show until the morning of her wedding, well after filming introductions and the Hens’ night.
