The Block 2023‘s Kristy Beames has revealed that she’s got TV and radio deals “banging down her door” following her villain edit on the show.
ICYMI: From admitting to having a game plan to accusing her co-stars of cheating, Kristy received a controversial portrayal on the hit renovation show.
As reported by Yahoo! Lifestyle, Kristy’s dirty work paid off, ‘coz she’s been inundated with opportunities since her stint on the show.
However, despite her good fortune, the reality star asserted that she’d be selective when choosing brands to work with.
“[Brett Beames and I] never needed anything from the show, and we’re not going to jump through hoops for $10,000 or a brand deal,” Kristy told the outlet.
“We earn good money and don’t want to live our lives as monkeys dancing for a dollar. Because we’re not those sorts of people, and that’s not the platform you get from a villain.”
According to the project manager, the radio and TV deals “came banging down [her and Brett’s] doors” because they weren’t afraid of calling people out.
“We’re high in value for that sort of stuff. But not necessarily the, ‘Hey we’re going to give you a bag and want you to post 10 posts about it’. Because, to be honest, I’d probably be pretty f*cking bad at that,” she clarified.
What opportunities are in store for The Block‘s Kristy and Brett Beames?
Kristy dished that she and Brett would be investing the money they’d won from the show and working on the Airbnb they’d purchased “unless something comes up that’s entertaining”.
However, she admitted that she did have some exciting projects in the works.
“I can’t give [too much away]. [But]some … stuff [is] going to be coming around the villain side of things. So yeah, I’m pretty excited about that,” she spilled.
Is The Block‘s Kristy Beams starting a podcast with Leah Milton?
In December, Yahoo! Lifestyle reported that Kristy and her fellow villain bestie Leah Milton would be potentially starting a podcast together.
However, Kristy admitted that this wasn’t necessarily true.
“That would’ve been really fun. I’m all for that idea,” she said. “But I think we both have two different directions of what the future holds.
“So maybe. But let’s just say we haven’t bought any [microphones] or anything so everyone can calm the f*ck down.”
