Bidder Danny Wallis has called the houses on The Block 2023 “junk” after leaving Auction Day empty-handed.

The entrepreneur, who usually purchases The Block properties, left the show with nothing during the November 5 finale.

Danny bid on Steph and Gian Ottavio‘s winning House 4. However, serial buyer Adrian Portelli beat him to it, outbidding him twice. He tried again with Eliza and Liberty Paschke‘s House 5 but was outbid by Adrian once again.

He made one final try, placing a bid on Kyle and Leslie Cottones House 1. But, you guessed it, Adrian copped the house yet again.

And it sounds like Danny’s a tad salty because when Domain asked him why he didn’t “go harder” to win Houses 2 and 3, he responded: “They’re junk”. Yikes.

“[They’re] high maintenance for investment properties, which is what we have to consider,” his sister clarified.

This comes after radio personality Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes claimed that Danny was “meant to” bid $2,999,999 on Steph and Gian’s house but accidentally said $3,999,999.

“Danny didn’t have that money,” Hughesy explained. “So his mistake got the ball rolling.”
