Australia’s OG The Bachelor star Tim Robards has swapped out red roses for army drills as he’s among the fresh faces to join the cast of SAS Australia 2023.
Now, we reported this tea back in episode 246 of the So Dramatic! podcast, as one spy told us that the reality star wanted to give SAS Australia a crack after his wife, Anna Heinrich, appeared on the show in 2022.
“He loves a good challenge and wanted to see how he would go on it considering Anna killed it,” our source said.
“He’s excited to give it a crack and has been training extremely hard for it.”
The insider then added that the 40-year-old “might have an advantage over the rest of the cast”, given he helped Anna prepare for the last series.
“He’s also a personal trainer and chiropractor, so that’s definitely gonna come in handy on the gruelling SAS course.”
Hmm, it sounds like he’ll really be one to watch!
Anna Heinrich is ‘worried’ that SAS Australia will be too ‘brutal’ for her hubby
Anna has expressed her concerns about her husband joining SAS 2023.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph in March, the former reality star confessed that she was “worried” that Tim would struggle on the show.
“Once you are in that bubble, no one cares. You have got to give it your all.
“If you’ve hurt your finger or you’ve hurt your leg, they don’t really care. You’ve got to either get out or push through,” she dished.
“What you see on TV, it is way more brutal than what you see on there.” Yikes. Remind us to NEVER sign up for SAS…
What else do we know about Tim Robards?
The Bachelor 2013 wasn’t Tim’s only stint on small big screen, as he’s also an actor!
Tim is most known for his role in the classic Aussie drama Neighbours. Fellow SAS Australia 2023 recruit Zima Anderson has also called Ramsay Street her home, so the two are bound to form an alliance at Base Camp!
According to his IMDB profile, Tim’s also acted in the series The Good Hustle and appeared in the short film Sherbrooke Down: The Road to Cataract.
Despite it being a renowned hot spot for blue tick seekers, The Bachelor worked wonders for Tim, as he’s now happily married to his match.
The pair share a daughter Elle, who celebrated her second birthday with an elaborate Minnie Mouse-themed party back in November. Aww!
