One FBOY Island Australia star has revealed that there was a “gender pay gap” among the male and female participants on the show and we’re not sure what to think about this one.

ICYMI: On September 12, The Masked Singer panellist Abbie Chatfield spoke out about the shock gender pay gap in her previous role as an analyst in commercial real estate.

As reported in episode 316 of the So Dramatic! podcast, there was also a pay gap on FBOY Island, which Abbie hosted.

But this time, the ladies were getting paid more than the men.

“The girl contestants on FBOY Island got paid $20,000 to be on the show and the guys got paid $100 a day. Bit hypocritical of Abbie to talk about the gender pay gap,” one contestant told So Dramatic!.

Whilst it’s clear this castmate was trying to point out a double standard, this pay discrepancy seems pretty fair to us.

The leads of a show always get paid more than the other contestants as they have bigger roles and responsibilities. And it looks like Molly O’Halloran, Sophie Blackley and Ziara Rae were making bank! We love to see women slaying!
