FBOY Island Australia 2023‘s Sophie Blackley may have reformed “FBoy” Joshy Allen into her Prince Charming, but sadly, things didn’t work out for the couple post-show.
The finale, which dropped on June 26, revealed that Sophie chose to be with Joshy over “Nice Guy” Justin McNairn. Meanwhile, her gal pals Ziara Rae and Molly O’Halloran ended up with Izaya Leota and Nick Brown, respectively.
However, all good things must come to an end, with The Daily Telegraph revealing Sophie and her bae called it quits not long after filming wrapped.
Now, the DJ and Joshy have revealed what went down once the cameras stopped rolling.
“We’re very strong friends that could or could not lead to anything more,” Sophie, 26, told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“We still talk, we’re still really good friends… I think, if anything, the best outcome for me is that we’re going to be friends for life. I think we’re very similar people with good chemistry.”

Meanwhile, her reformed “FBoy” said their careers and distance contributed to them taking a step back from a romantic pursuit.
“We were pretty mature about it, we were just like, look, we get along really well, we don’t want to bring anything that’s going to be pressure and stress us out and then we turn against each other and get annoyed at each other or anything like that,” he said.
“You never know what the future holds, but we just definitely wanted to keep that momentum of that friendship going and just kind of respect each other in that way and just be mature about it in a way as well.”

While runner-up Justin said he’d be waiting for Sophie should her romance with Joshy not work, the bombshell said she’s “chosen” to “keep [her] distance” from him.
This mainly has to do with the fact she discovered he was lying when he claimed he hadn’t told the other contestants he wasn’t attracted to any of the three leading ladies. Obviously, this was all exposed when the show went to air.
“I have never had someone look into my eye and genuinely say, ‘I didn’t say that’, so for me, I was like, ‘Wow, okay, that just happened’,” Sophie recalled.
“I was angry about it because I did choose to believe him at the time. I’ve chosen to try and keep my distance [from him] while the show’s airing because I’ve got to respect that everyone went on a dating show that’s called FBoy Island, so you can’t get too mad at these guys for saying what they said.”
The FBOY Island Australia finale dropped days after So Dramatic! revealed Justin was investigated for domestic violence against his ex-wife in Estonia.
