As reported in episode 299 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one source said Justin has “only recently finished court proceedings for being physically abusive” towards Triinu.

“A couple of years back, he moved to Estonia and married a woman there,” they explained.

Adding that the marriage “didn’t last long” for the abovementioned reasons, the source said it was understood that Justin was made to pay his ex “for damages and she’s now struggling very badly”.

“Just because it happened in Eastern Europe, doesn’t make it any less serious,” the insider continued. “It was all over the Estonian news at the time.”

A second source told So Dramatic! that the case ended with “discretionary protection”.

“This essentially means that Estonia’s national prosecution found that there is sufficient and strong enough evidence to go to court, but due to him now being in Australia and not a threat to the victim anymore, taking it to court has low public interest and is not worth it,” they said.

Estonian news outlets detailed the circumstances surrounding Justin McNairn’s court case

The couple reportedly met online at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020, with Justin soon moving to Estonia to be with Triinu.

A month later, the pair were married. By ‘Spring 2022’, Justin and Triinu had already divorced.

When the court hearing concluded, one Estonian news outlet wrote that “a long saga [had] ended”.

“The criminal proceedings against Australian stripper Justin McNairn, launched 14 months ago on suspicion of close relationship violence, ended with opportunity.

“Prosecutors ended criminal proceedings against Justin McNairn due to lack of public interest in the proceedings, but at the same time admits that the man was guilty of physical abuse in a close relationship.”

According to another article from Estonian chronicle Kroonika, Justin “use[d] physical violence on Triinu Liisi at home.

“The police have had to intervene in the matter several times,” they wrote.

There were also claims of animal cruelty by Justin after he took Triinu’s cats to a shelter without her consent. The incident resulted in several companies refusing to work with him thereafter.

Triinu Liis says she has ‘moved on’ from marriage to FBOY Island Australia‘s Justin McNairn

When contacted for comment about her relationship with Justin, Triinu said she “would rather not get in[to] detail”.

“I have finally moved on. As you can read from Estonia’s media, the case was ended with discretionary prosecution, which I have nothing to add any more,” she said. “For me, this is chapter [is] closed and wish to have no involvement in whatever that has anything to do with him.

“He had to pay for the damages caused though.”

Binge responds to questions over FBOY Island Australia‘s screening process

After sources raised concern over FBOY Island Australia‘s process of casting contestants, So Dramatic! contacted Binge to ask whether adequate background checks had been made.

A Binge spokesperson said: “Our production partner for FBoy Island Australia (Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia) has a thorough screening process, which includes police checks, psychological tests and an extensive interview process to ensure there is a safe environment on the show for all contestants and production staff.

“In the case of this contestant, we became aware after production commenced of a historic matter when he resided overseas. In reviewing the issue, we have confirmed there were no charges against the individual.”

So Dramatic! has also contacted Justin for comment.
