The Block viewers have been divided after one fan suggested a “cruel” change that could make or break the experience of future Blockheads.

The hit renovation show has been going strong for 19 seasons (and counting!), but fans have been vocal about feeling that the series is getting a ‘lil stale.

Host Scott Cam attempted to shake up The Block this year by giving the cast the ENTIRE production schedule upfront. Now, those at home have started proposing better ways to give it more oomph.

Per Yahoo! Lifestyle, one fan took to a popular fan group on Facebook to suggest that the teams should have to swap houses partway through the competition.

And yep, that’s sure to get the blood pumping!

Naturally, the comment section was flooded with thoughts, with one agreeing it would be a “great idea”.

“Now THAT would be an interesting watch!” another added.

“That would be so cruel… but I kind of like it,” a third replied.

Meanwhile, someone else said: “Love this idea! But the sisters [Eliza and Liberty Paschke]would take five months to move all their luggage”.

Other The Block fans say the house-swap change wouldn’t be fair

While we would be SO down for this shake-up, other The Block fans weren’t keen and thought it unfair for the current cast.

“I’d flat out leave if I was stuck with house two or three, they need lots of work in order to be market-ready,” one viewer said.

Another said they’d “feel sorry for the ones that got Leah and Ash [Milton]‘s house”.

One fan even suggested that the teams should have to swap partners rather than houses, while another joked that contestants should be allowed to vote their co-stars out, á la Survivor.

The latest format proposal comes after The Block viewers begged for the show to be set in a state other than Victoria.
