The Block 2023 contestants Eliza and Liberty Paschke have predicted that none of the teams will be on speaking terms by the time auction day rolls around.

After the 19th season kicked off on August 6, there’s been drama galore and very little renovating on Charming Street.

And, keeping in line with their rogue revelations, the Adelaide sisters have spilled more tea about their time on the show.

In an interview on KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren on August 25, the duo revealed that things are so tense between the Blockheads that they reckon “no one will be speaking to each other” by the time they film the auctions.

“You’ll already sense sort of an undertone, for those watching, of a mean girls culture between a couple of people, and that unfortunately intensifies to a point where it comes to a head,” Eliza explained.

“We’re amicable with everyone, but there are so many shattered relationships. I think the real struggle is that Leah [Milton] and Kristy [Beams] from Houses Two and Three… They just formed this clique and it was mean.

“So the rest of us are wounded,” she concluded, adding that “the whole thing’s triggering to watch back”.

Liberty also dished that all five teams were part of a WhatsApp group chat during filming.

However, “not a single message has been sent” since The Block premiered in early August.

The Block‘s Eliza and Liberty Paschke weigh in on judge Marty Fox’s ‘harsh’ criticisms

In the same chat, the sisters discussed the “harsh” feedback they received from newcomer judge Marty Fox.

While they said he was a “lovely man”, they didn’t hold back from dubbing him “a bit wanky”.

“It’s the real estate bravado,” Eliza said of the WHITEFOX real estate director. “He’s very polished and he loves a little Gucci loafer without socks.

“He is really fun in real life but on the show, we did not like him or appreciate anything he had to say, if I’m going to be honest, because he was so mean and harsh and had no constructiveness for us.”

This season, Marty has stepped up to fill in for long-time judge Neale Whitaker, who took a leave of absence to look after his partner through ill health.

While some think he’s been a welcome addition, others believe Marty — along with judges Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze — has been “inconsistent” with his judging.
