The Block 2023‘s Eliza and Liberty Paschke have backed up claims that Leah Milton and Kristy Beams are “mean girls”, confirming that their on-screen portrayal is “spot on”.

Just weeks into the 19th season, Leah and Kristy have been the subject of fans’ criticisms for their contentious behaviour towards their co-stars.

And while they’ve denied that they’re “nasty” people IRL, sisters Eliza and Liberty have set the record straight.

Appearing on 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin, the Adelaide locals discussed the bullying and toxicity claims — and dished there’s far more to come.

“Look, I think what you are seeing is exactly what played out,” Eliza confessed. “It’s unfortunate that there’s a bit of a tone of bullying, and I’m sorry to say it does not disappear anytime soon.

“But what does happen is that behaviour is called out… Karma’s a biatch and things happen as they should.”

We love that they’re not sugar-coating anything!

The Block‘s Eliza and Liberty say the drama ‘comes to a head’ later in the season

When asked whether they were bullied, Liberty said it wasn’t “so much [bullying]”, more so having rumours spread about them.

“There were certainly things said about us that were untrue,” she explained. “If anyone questions our integrity, that is the biggest offence to both of us.

“So that caused a bit of a stir with us.”

As such, the sisters got fed up with the lies and “it comes to a head”.

According to Eliza and Liberty, the “clique that formed between Kristy and Leah” is the root of the show’s drama.

“People have labelled it ‘mean girls’ and that’s pretty spot on,” Eliza admitted.
