We’ve found out just how much money our favourite Australian TV hosts are earning and our eyes are watering at the thought of that much cash.

To no one’s surprise, hosting a Channel Nine show is VERY lucrative. However, some of the TV personalities we all know and love are taking home way more cash than we thought. Not to mention, could ever imagine having in our bank accounts.

How much do Australian TV hosts earn?

Leading the rich pack is comedian and podcaster Hamish Blake, 41. He’s said to take home a jaw-dropping $2 million for hosting Lego Masters. Which seems like a WILD amount for a show about Lego and for just a few weeks of filming a year.

Not far behind is fan favourite Scott Cam, 60. The former tradie is reportedly earning a whopping $1.5 million a year for hosting The Block.

In fact, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle, he had an estimated net worth of $11 million in 2022, as well as a property portfolio worth over $10 million.

Next in line is comedian and podcaster Andy Lee, 42. He’s rumoured to be taking home around $1 million to $1.2 million for his hosting duties on The Hundred. Not bad!

Finally, Australian sweetheart Sophie Monk, 43, is petty busy hosting two Channel Nine shows – Love Island and Beauty and the Geek. However, her hard work pays off! The former Popstars singer is pocketing a cool $800k for her work across both series.

Whew, if only we could make THAT much cash for delivering epic one-liners and sending singles packing

How much cash are the other Australian TV hosts making?

It turns out Channel Nine isn’t the only network paying their TV hosts eye-watering amounts of cash.

According to news.com.au, former I’m A Celebrity host Chris Brown, 44, will be making well over $1 million a year in his new two-year contract with Seven.

The Australian vet had been working with Channel Ten for the past 15 years, but for $1 million a year, we understand why he decided to move on

Long-time television host Sonia Kruger, 57, also made the move to Channel Seven back in 2019, and she reportedly takes home a mind-blowing paycheck.

It’s been said that the Dancing With the Stars host pockets around $1.3 million a year, and she deserves it because she is an Aussie icon after all!
