Channel Nine has unveiled the start date of Love Island Australia 2022 with a saucy AF promo, and we are definitely in for the hottest season yet.

After COVID restrictions limited the hit dating series to Byron Bay in 2021, Love Island is returning to Spain in an all-new villa.

Get your speedos and teensiest bikinis ready because host Sophie Monk is back, and you can watch it all unfold from 6 pm on Monday, October 31.

For the first time ever, the famed show will stream exclusively on 9Now, with new episodes available daily from Monday to Thursday.

According to the long-time host, the fourth season’s “twists and turns” are on “another level”.

“Outrageous but in a good way,” Sophie said, adding that she’s thrilled with the return to Spain.

“I love being back in Mallorca, it just feels like Love Island for me. It’s going to be an amazing series that no one will be able to keep their eyes off.”

Who Are the Love Island Australia 2022 Islanders?

Not only were we blessed with a start date, but a clip also shared on the official Love Island Australia Instagram gave us a look at the “boys and babes” looking for love this year.

This includes top AFL players (Mitch Hibberd 2.0?), tradies (obvs) and a gal who admitted to hooking up with her bestie’s boyfriend behind her back — YIKES.

Vying for each other’s hearts (and a sh*t-ton of Insta followers) are Phoebe, Layla, Jessica, Stella, Holly and Claudia.

They’ll also be joined by Mitchell, Austen, Callum, Tak, Andrew, Jordan and Conor.

And be warned: they’re all absolute stunners who have their eyes on that whopping $50,000 prize money!

We also know Married at First Sight 2022 larrikin Al Perkins will appear on the show. However, he wasn’t included in the promo… hello, BOMB!

Love Island Australia 2022 Has Been Pre-Filmed

For the first time, the Aussie iteration of Love Island has been filmed ahead of time.

In a statement provided to So Dramatic! from the show’s production company, ITV Studios, a spokesperson said the show has already commenced in a “stunning new villa in Mallorca in Spain”.

“We have assembled an amazing cast, and Sophie Monk is back hosting in what is set to be a hot and sizzling season with more secrets from the new Love Island villa to be revealed soon!”

Another source told So Dramatic! that the reason for the show’s early filming was the Spanish villa’s availability.

The decision to film ahead of time is particularly bizarre, considering audience participation is a valued part of the series.

So, we’ll have to stay tuned to see how the new format will unfold, and we can’t WAIT!
