Married At First Sight Australia 2021’s Al Perkins was offered a mere pittance to appear on Love Island Australia 2022 but don’t worry, he was originally planning to go on it for free.
As reported in episode 211 of the So Dramatic! podcast, an insider source confirmed to host Megan Pustetto that the 26-year-old reality star has signed onto Nine’s (other) hit dating series.
In 2021, So Dramatic! revealed that the Love Island cast received a daily fee of $150 for expenses, plus whatever they made from sponsored content opportunities while in the villa.
The contestants are given around $1000 for in-store or event appearances and brand deal sponsored posts. They can also make big bucks for TV, radio commercials, and print or digital advertising.
How Much Did Al Perkins Get Paid To Appear on Love Island Australia 2022?
According to Daily Mail Australia. Al got offered a four-figure figure sum to appear on Love Island Australia and a weekly $500 cheque until he’s eliminated. So, he might end up getting paid less than the average Islander!
They’d rake in around $8000 if they make it to the show’s end.
The publication’s source claimed Al had been “desperate” to appear on the show and was happy to do it for free. Luckily, his management still secured him a decent appearance fee.
