Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Melinda Willis has revealed there’s a “secret divide” among the cast and come on girl, spill the tea!

There’s no denying that the inter-relationship beef and subsequent cheating scandals left this year’s marriage experiment in shambles.

However, Melinda, who is still with her bae Layton Mills, has admitted that the drama has continued long after the cameras stopped rolling in late 2022.

Chatting to the UK’s Heart Radio, the 32-year-old said that to date, “there’s a few people not talking”.

“There was a divide on the show you don’t really see, especially with the girls,” she explained.

“That was a storyline at first and then it quickly got buried, so I would say that storyline is still evident in real life.”

The beauty CEO added that there was originally a group chat on WhatsApp with the whole cast, but participants began dipping out once things got “bickery”.

“It’s gone back to those two separate groups that were arising in the experiment that quickly got shut down,” Melinda explained.

As for her inner circle: “I talk to Tahnne [Cook], Janelle [Han], Alyssa [Barmonde] and Evelyn [Ellis].”

“I don’t have anything against the other girls but I don’t really stay in contact with them.”

Melinda Willis continues to back Married at First Sight co-star Alyssa Barmonde

Since they regained access to their social media, the cast has rallied around Alyssa, who seemingly copped a bad edit in her relationship with Duncan James.

And it seems Melinda isn’t letting up on her gal pal because of an overedited TV show.

“I’m still very supportive of Alyssa, a lot of people aren’t but I was there,” she explained. “I know the truth, I know my reality and I’m not going to not like someone just because other people don’t.”

She added: “It’s interesting because some people, when their edits came to life you really saw their connections change.

“You could see who was worried about being friends with someone who maybe wasn’t going to be liked.”

The confession comes after Alyssa said “villain” Harrison Boon checks in with her “every week” for a “mental health check”.
