Uncross your fingers and toes because Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Janelle Han and Jesse Burford definitely are not dating.
Sure, they’ve been spotted together on multiple occasions getting cosy and holding hands, prompting assumptions that the pair are now an item after finding comfort in each other following their TV spouses’ cheating scandal.
However, we’ve heard straight from the horses’ mouths that it ain’t a thing. *sigh*
“Lol me and Jesse are not dating,” Janelle told So Dramatic!.
“I put in my stories that we are just friends that pecked once.” Well, at least she’s honest!
However, the beauty influencer said she’s “not fussed” about the circulating rumours.
“It’s pretty funny reading the comments.”
It comes after Jesse explained during his two-part tell-all on the So Dramatic! podcast that he and Janelle did entertain pursuing their brief flirtation.

“Janelle and I were looking cosy because we are good mates,” Jesse initially told host Megan Pustetto.
However, it wasn’t long before the 31-year-old revealed all, admitting that he and Janelle have, in fact, discussed the potential of their friendship turning into a romantic relationship.
“Janelle just moved to Sydney,” Jesse, who lives in Perth, noted. “So even if we were gonna walk down that path, we both said to each other that a long-distance relationship is not something that is an option for us.
“We don’t want to be doing that.”
Janelle backed this up in her statement to So Dramatic!, saying: “This is exactly right.
“We didn’t pursue anything at all because we were being sensible about the situation,” she concluded.
Now, this is in contrast to their co-stars Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis, who recently hard-launched their post-show romance.
That being said, this couple both reside in Sydney, which makes logistics a LOT easier…
