Channel Ten has reportedly poached a Married at First Sight Australia 2024 participant to star in its dying The Bachelor franchise.

Sources recently told So Dramatic! that producers behind the once-successful series want to return The Bachelor to its wholesome roots.

However, industry insiders reckon Warner Bros., the production company behind the dating series, now has a new plan for the upcoming 11th season.

According to insiders, the MAFS groom involved in the mess was fast-tracked through the experiment’s lengthy application process.

While MAFS creatives had worded him up as their new villain, Ten reportedly poached him with plans for him to shake up The Bachelor.

With both shows set to premiere in early 2024, this is the first time they will go head-to-head. And, the behind-the-scenes rivalry is already being described as “savage”.

The Bachelors Australia 2024 will have three leads again

Like its dismal 2023 season, The Bachelor 2024 will have multiple leads.

One industry insider has teased that the theme is set to be in the vein of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. And TBH, that’s the same energy Jed McIntosh, Thomas Malucelli and Felix Von Hofe were giving.

However, we do have a sliver of hope on the horizon for Season 11, which will film in Melbourne.

ICYMI: We recently revealed that Melbourne-based amputee and Wiradjuri mode James Parr has signed on to the show.

“They’ve brought James along as one of the Bachelors to try and tick off some diversity,” our source dished.

“James is bisexual, so they’re having contestants of both sexes.”

According to the source, Ten are “trying to do more” to boost viewership and ratings.

So, if what industry insiders are saying is true about the network actively recruiting a villain to be a lead, you can bet your bottom dollar we’re gonna be tuning in.
