In a move even more shocking than the fact it’s still running, The Bachelor Australia franchise has relocated again, with the upcoming season to be set in Melbourne.

Yes, you heard right: this godforsaken show is returning, with sources telling So Dramatic! in April that they’re currently casting a “classier” bunch of contestants. (Good luck with that!)

After The Bachelors 2023‘s short stint on the Gold Coast, it’s been revealed that Victoria will be home to the 11th season for the first time ever.

Osher Günsberg will continue to help the leading man (or men) find love, with the long-time host expressing his excitement for the new backdrop.

“The secret with longevity in any relationship is to never take the other person for granted, and always be ready to re-invent the relationship as your needs change over time,” he said in a statement. “The relationship between The Bachelor franchise and our audience is no different,

“Taking this love story to Melbourne builds on the world-first season we have just seen, allowing us to take Australia’s most romantic dating show to places it has never been before.”

In addition to promising the show’s “most romantic series yet”, The Bachelor‘s new season will also provide jobs for over “100 Victorian crew members”.

“As well as placement opportunities for our next generation of screen industry workers,” Victoria’s Minister for Creative Industries, Steve Dimopoulos, said.

Who will be The Bachelor‘s leading man?

One source said producers are looking for a “Tim Robards-type” to return the show to its former glory.

Producers are also keen to cast “classier chicks” as they are planning for a more “wholesome Bachelor” this time around.

“They are going back to basics with the new season,” the source told So Dramatic!. “They want the show to return to its origins.”

Another source has also claimed producers are headhunting potential contestants on Instagram.

Our insider is mates with a guy who “has been telling everyone he has been hand-selected for this season’s Bachelor”.

The man in question is named Ben Walters. And, apparently, he has applied for “multiple seasons of Married at First Sight” and “is desperate to get on TV”. Yawn.

A second Darwin-based fella is also reportedly being scouted.

And pls, we can’t handle another season of multiple The Bachelor leads!
