The Bachelors Australia 2023‘s Leah Cummings has blown the lid on the real reason her engagement to Thomas Malucelli ended.
The pair had an immediate connection when meeting on the dying franchise, so it was no surprise Thomas got down on one knee during the finale.
However, a day after the last episode aired, he and Leah revealed they amicably ended their relationship as “staying together was not the right decision”.
Now, for the first time, Leah has revealed the truth about her split from Thomas.
“Now that my rose-coloured glasses are off … when we went on our first date [after the show], he told me he wasn’t vaccinated,” she told The Advertiser.
According to the 33-year-old, her bae requested that she did “not get the fourth vaccination”.
“I’m upset because I considered it because I was in love with him,” Leah confessed.
“I was willing to risk my health to be with him.”

After The Bachelors wrapped, Leah soon learned that Thomas — who works for a controversial multi-level marketing health scheme called Isagenix — “doesn’t believe in modern medicine”.
As an asthma sufferer, the South Australian said she found herself needing to use her ventolin in “private” when with Thomas.
She now describes the act as “disgusting”.
“He said, ‘I think you have asthma because you believe you have asthma’,” she recalled.
Thomas reportedly also claimed the same about Leah’s anxiety disorder and encouraged her to stop taking her medications.
“My mum’s sister died of asthma,” she said.
However, when Thomas was in a motorcycle accident while they were together, he took medication.
When she questioned his claim he didn’t believe in “modern medicine”, he said, “These drugs are real”.

Recalling her “Flash Date” with Thomas on the show, Leah said they had to turn around as she’d forgotten her Ventolin.
“I just wish to God he told me there and then that he had those views because I would’ve gone straight home,” she said.
“I wouldn’t have gone through any of that stuff.”
She also detailed a time she was having an asthma attack and wasn’t able to ask for her partner’s help.
“I remember being on the phone to my sister, who was in Bali, and she said go get Thomas, go get Thomas, and I was like I can’t,” she said.
“I didn’t have the guts to tell her.”
Two months after getting down on one knee, Thomas ended their relationship.
“He was the one who broke up with me which is also disappointing,” Leah confessed. “I can’t believe I allowed that to happen.”
What’s more, is that Leah also claimed Thomas visited America with his ex-girlfriend and didn’t tell her until he returned.
“He gaslit me. He said, ‘This is why I didn’t tell you I was going away’,” she said.
“The fact [he] didn’t tell me was the reason I was worried.”

When The Advertiser contacted Thomas about Leah’s claims, he said it was “disappointing”.
“It’s so disappointing that a relationship founded on The Bachelor, which was such an enjoyable experience and growth period, would now be dragged through the mud,” he said.
“I have the utmost respect for the contestants from the show and the collective journey we have been on. I have only love for the Bachelorettes.”
Thomas has since engaged in a new relationship, while Leah says she’s still trying to heal from the “pain” he caused her.
However, sources have claimed the reality star is currently in the throws of a love triangle with co-star Tash Candyce and financier Justin McKeone.
