The Bachelors Australia 2023‘s Thomas Malucelli and Leah Cummings have revealed they’re no longer together, despite believing they were “soulmates”.
From day dot, Thomas and Leah had a palpable connection, with the Italian Bachie crying literal tears after their Flash Date.
Then, during the January 29 finale, the 35-year-old got down on one knee and asked his bae to marry him, after which we all thought it was happy days for the couple.
Turns out, we thought wrong.
According to 10Play, Thomas and Leah confirmed “several months after filming the series” that they weren’t together anymore.
The restaurant manager said the split came “two or three months after the finale”.
“We had an amazing time together and we spent incredible moments together on the show and also after the show… but we realised, spending time together, we had lots of love and care for each other but we weren’t compatible and compatibility is so important,” he confessed.
However, they “made the decision to stay friends” and continue to “support one another” on their separate “routes to finding love”.

Serial reality star Leah admitted she is “devastated to this day” that things with Thomas didn’t work out.
“I didn’t get what I wanted from it, but I also found so much more from it,” she said.
“I love who I am now, I can look at myself in the mirror like, ‘damn Leah, you should be so proud of yourself’, I gave something a go and I didn’t hold anything back.”
Taking to Instagram one day after the finale, Thomas shared a snap of himself and his former flame, announcing their breakup.
“It is with sadness that Leah and I announce that we have called off our engagement, and are no longer romantically together,” he penned.
“We care for and respect each other immensely, however, we came to realise that staying together was not the right decision for us.”
He then called for fans to “respect [their] privacy around this decision”.

Leah and Thomas’ split surprises us none, particularly after fans spotted him on dating apps following filming.
As reported by So Dramatic!, the Italian stallion was clocked on Hinge on the hunt for “beautiful, confident and sexy women that are completely comfortable in being feminine.”
On his profile, Thomas penned: “I’m a confident, playful, silly and strong man who is used to getting what I want.” Might as well just upload a jpeg of a red flag instead!
Thomas added that he wanted “a woman who is used to the same”.
Of course, the MLM grifter also wanted to add to his Isagenix downline. On his page, he explained that he was seeking somebody who valued “health, exercise and [a] healthy diet”.
To top it all off, Thomas revealed that his mantra is that “your energy introduces you before you even speak”. What?!
It’s the second dating app sighting for Thomas (after previously being spotted on Bumble in September). So, we guess his romance with Leah really did fall dead in the water!
