Apparently, none of The Bachelors Australia 2023 stars took advantage of the Fantasy Suite and colour us SHOCKED.
As exclusively revealed by So Dramatic!, the element was introduced as part of the dating show’s refurbishment for its tenth season.
ICYMI: The Fantasy Suite was available to the Bachelors, where they could enjoy some spicy one-on-one time with a lady away from prying eyes and cameras.
However, as reported in episode 242 of the So Dramatic! podcast, no one — not even root rat Felix Von Hofe — took producers up on the offer.
“Fantasy Suites got canned, it didn’t happen,” one insider revealed. “The guys opted out.” Boo!
The source added that they’re “unsure” why the new format has been “hyped up” when “none of [the Bachelors] were comfortable with it”.
“They had the option but declined.” WTF is going on?
However, one lucky (or unlucky) gal almost saw the inside of the Fantasy Suite.
“One girl got invited back to the Bach pad after the third group date,” one contestant confessed.
“She had to go through a full consent screening, had to sign some documents, but then after all that, she didn’t even up going back in the end.”
Apparently, the Bachie in question “got cold feet”. Quel dommage — but yay for consent!
Partner-swapping on The Bachelors 2023 isn’t as dramatic as we’d expect
While we were keen for The Bachelors to get as close to an on-screen swingers‘ party as a prime-time telly show can get, it turns out the partner-swapping element also fell flat on set.
Yup, according to several sources, just one swap happened all season.
“Jasmine [Absolom] swapped from Jed [McIntosh] to Thomas [Malucelli] at the third Rose Ceremony,” one insider said.
“All the girls were too scared to switch because all the guys had said earlier that they were happy with the girls they got and weren’t wanting to swap or steal.
“Everyone was like, ‘What’s the point of doing it then?'”
However, the producers reportedly “weren’t happy that no one wanted to swap Bachelors”.
“They were a bit mad that the guys had said that.”
Reason #23435 why The Bachelors 2023 isn’t living up to our expectations…
