Eagle-eyed Farmer Wants A Wife Australia 2023 fans have noticed a strange detail in the 2023 season finale.
During the May 21 episode, viewers pointed out the bizarre coincidence that all farmers ended up choosing women who were wearing solid-coloured dresses during the finale. Whilst their runner-ups wore patterned outfits.
Coincidence or conspiracy?
Farmer David picked Emily on the night, who looked radiant in a blue satin frock.
While Farmer Matt choose Olivia who dazzled in a silver dress.
Farmer Brenton chose Sophie who wore a light pink frock.
Meanwhile, Farmer Brad declared his feelings to Clare, who wowed in an emerald gown.
Strangely, runners-up Lorelai, Annabelle, Rachel and Morgan were all dressed in bright floral frocks with various patterns.
“Am I the only one who noticed all the girls in the plain dresses are the ones that get picked & all of the girls in floral dresses don’t?” one fan observed in a fan Facebook group.
The post resulted in an interesting discussion, with some believing it was likely intended to make it easier for the crew.
Producers have to approve outfits before each day of filming
It comes after Corista from Farmer Brad’s farm revealed to So Dramatic! that producers choose contestants’ outfits.
Corista explained that the women often didn’t know when they’d start filming “until production rocked up”.
From there, they were briefed on what the day was going to look like before being tasked with “pick[ing] three outfits” that were then given the once over by wardrobe.
“We take our own clothes, and they would come back and pick an outfit,” she said.
“I know a lot of people get a bit a backlash for what they’re wearing at certain events, but the truth of it is, we don’t know what we’re doing.”
She added: “You’d wake up, you’d get ready, you’d have some brekkie. Production would pretty much roll in and tell you what we’re doing for the day and what we need wear.
“Then off we go.”
So, did producers have a theme that they decided to stick to for the finale? Seems like it!
