Secret nighttime rendezvous could explain why Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023‘s Farmer Brad claimed to have such a strong connection with Clare.
ICYMI: The NSW farmer threw his gals and viewers for a six when he admitted at the Country Ball that he was super keen on exploring his romance with Clare. However, at this point in the experience, the duo didn’t appear to have spent any one-on-one time together.
As revealed by cast member Corista in episode 284 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Clare and Brad may have been sneaking around together after the cameras stopped rolling.
“Brad had said on the show [that] his strongest feelings are for Clare, but in our eyes, him and Claire hadn’t spent any time together by the Country Ball stage,” she said, cryptically adding: “Unless there were some nighttime meetups.”
When host Megan Pustetto questioned Corista about the “conspiracy”, the Newcastle local said: “It’s not so much conspiracy… It might be a fact.”
How did Farmer Wants a Wife‘s Corista find out Clare and Brad had been meeting up?
Corista explained that Brad’s phone number was available on a sign on the front gate of his farm, suggesting that this may be how he and Clare got in touch off-screen.
However, she said the women on Brad’s farm had an “understanding” that they would “respect one another”, so she hadn’t expected anything untoward to happen behind the scenes.
“Across the board, the majority of the girls were all under the same understanding… We’re there for the same reason. We just didn’t want to disrespect one another,” Corista explained.
The women later “put two-and-two together” after learning that Clare had been “sleeping on the lounge”, but Corista didn’t have confirmation about the rendezvous until after she’d decided to pack up and leave the show.
“Clare actually said to me, ‘Yeah, you know, when we were having a chat the other night and everything’,” she recalled.
However, Corista isn’t holding it against her co-star.
“She just wants to find her person… and I guess at the end of the day, that’s what people are there for,” she deduced.
“And if [those actions] make them reach their potential partner and everything like that, then so be it.”
