Married at First Sight Australia’s Nick Furphy has launched a GoFundMe because *checks notes* he needs ransom money to get his Instagram account back after it was hacked.

Fans might remember Nick from when he married Sharon Marsh on the show in 2017 and then went on to date 2019 MAFS participant Jessika Power.
But he didn’t really reach the same lofty heights of fame as his exes and is now facing “financial ruin” if he has to fork out $3,633 “for the account’s safe return”.
Yep, he hasn’t even paid the ransom! He’s trying to raise the funds “to get his account back, but unfortunately, it’s going to cost a pretty penny”.
On the GoFundMe page, it says “this poor guy’s entire livelihood and happiness depends on his verified Instagram account”.
And the only way to get the account back is to pay some company the money, and they’ll retrieve it from the “evil hackers”. Sounds a bit dodgy if you ask us.
It’s worth noting Nick has written the spiel in first and third person for some reason unbeknownst to us. It’s like someone has written it for him, but he didn’t tweak it.
He goes on to say he “can’t make a living, go to events, or even pick up chicks” without Instagram. Is this guy for real?
“By donating to this Go Fund Me campaign, Nick will be helping a reality star in need get his Instagram account back and get back to doing what he does best: taking selfies, promoting teeth-whitening products, and getting paid to party.”
Has anyone donated to Nick Furphy’s GoFundMe page?
Surprisingly, he has already received several donations.
In the few hours since the fundraiser was launched MAFS 2023 star Dan Hunjas donated $25. And in what we believe is the ultimate trolling your ex move, someone by the name of “Jessika Power” tipped him $5.
But at that rate, he’s going to have to get or job like the rest of us or join OnlyFans.
