Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Shannon Adams is expecting his second child with ex-turned-current bae Jamea Drake and the timeline is verrrry suss.
To quickly recap: Shannon ultimately left the experiment after confessing to Caitlin McConville that he was still hung up on his ex-fiancée, whom So Dramatic! exclusively revealed he later reunited with.
Now, as reported in episode 281 of the So Dramatic! podcast, there may be more to him quitting MAFS than we initially suspected.
Host Megan Pustetto dished Jamea recently shared a photo of herself on Facebook, in which she cradled her pregnant belly.
We can now reveal that So Dramatic! also received a juicy tip-off from a family member of the couple while MAFS was airing.
At the time, they claimed Shannon ditched MAFS because he learned Jamea was knocked up.
“Shannon left the show not only because he was still in love with his ex but because he also found out she was pregnant with his child,” they said.
“That’s why he leaves the show because Jamea calls him and tells him she’s pregnant.”
They alleged that this is why the TV groom appeared “so distraught” at the time.

The source also revealed more spicy details about Shannon and Jamea’s relationship timeline.
“They were on and off right up until he left for filming,” the insider explained. “They had sex two days before he went on MAFS.”
What’s more, is that the pair even met up for some rendezvous while Shannon was wed to Caitlin.
“[They] met up with each other during filming [and] they were busted by producers having sex at Skye Suites,” they added. OMFG.
They also shed light on Lyndall Grace and Claire Nomarhas‘ claims they saw him with his ex and daughter in Sydney, whom Shannon alleged were his cousins at the time.
“[Jamea] did visit him at the apartments with their daughter, it wasn’t his cousin,” the source confirmed. “That was a cover-up.
“He got tipped off that Lyndall knew about it and was going to confront him so he had enough time to come up with a cover story.”
So Dramatic! reached out to the family when the tip-off was first received.
Jamea’s mum vehemently denied her daughter was pregnant, while Jamea did not reply when So Dramatic! contacted her for comment.
