Married at First Sight 2023 viewers are divided on whether ‘freak in the sheets’ Melissa overstepped Josh’s boundaries 

Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Melissa Sheppard is proudly sex-positive, but some fans were concerned that she pushed Josh White‘s boundaries.

During the February 5 episode, the 40-year-old Disney fanatic admitted that he didn’t want to “rush things” sexually in his new relationship.

However, his self-proclaimed “freak in the sheets” bride wanted to have sex on their wedding night.

It all came to a head after Josh claimed they had a “really lovely kiss and cuddle” on their first night as TV husband and wife. However, Melissa claimed their sexual chemistry “went off with a bang” — literally.

“I was looking for a big, burly man to throw me around on the first night and let me tell you, Josh has it covered,” Melissa said.

She added: “Thor does have a big hammer and Thor does not disappoint. I’m on the Josh train now. Boop boop; I’m not getting off.”

While some Married at First Sight fans celebrated Melissa’s candidness about her thriving sex life, others were concerned for Josh.

Viewers questioned whether Josh’s boundaries were already being pushed too far, with some claiming that there would be “outrage” if the gender roles were reversed.

Josh later confirmed in a conversation with Melissa that they did have sex but he didn’t want to talk about it so openly due to his religious upbringing.

“Sex with your wife is not a bad thing,” Melissa said. However, the same can’t really be said for pressuring your partner to publicly discuss something they’re not comfortable with…
