Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Harrison Boon‘s staunch anti-vax stance has resurfaced among countless social media posts challenging COVID-19 mandates.

Several sources who know Harrison reached out to So Dramatic! after his MAFS debut on January 30, revealing all about his stance on vaccines and the Coronavirus lockdown statutes.

“I went to high school with him so still have him on Facebook,” one user explained. “He’s a hardcore anti-vaxxer whose social media feed over the last few years since having his child has been a constant stream of anti-vax propaganda.”

The source said his views only “escalated during COVID“.

“He would post photos blatantly flouting lockdown laws by having social gatherings, refusing to wear a mask, etc.”

In a Facebook post obtained by So Dramatic!, the 32-year-old claimed that “dead babies are used to make vaccines”.

“This is not a conspiracy theory it’s a fact,” he wrote on July 20, 2020, alongside a shared video claiming to uncover the “shocking truth”.

He continued: “Does it make you uncomfortable? Good.”

Married at First Sight‘s Harrison Boon says the Australian Government was “holding us hostage”

In another Facebook status, Harrison said Australian Government intended to “hold us hostage until a vaccine can be mandated”.

“At this point being Pro Vaccine is to be Pro Fascism,” he wrote.

In a subsequent post, Harrison highlighted the “irony that flu deaths are down this year… is not lost on [him]”.

“It also reaffirms the notion that modern hygiene and plumbing eradicated viral and bacterial outbreak of the past,” he continued. “Again nothing to do with vaccines.”

Married at First Sight‘s Harrison Boon says people cautious of Coronavirus are ‘suffering from stupid’

In the same series of posts shared in August 2020, the father-of-one said he’d be happy to “risk catching” COVID-19.

“Yes I would rather risk catching a virus with a 99.9% survival rate and minimal symptoms than a toxic, rushed to market vaccine with no safety profile,” he wrote.

“This is the choice you are also being given.”

Harrison also condemned those who are “scared about Coronavirus” and were cautious to “leave [their] house until it’s time to get injected”.

“You may be suffering from stupid,” he penned.

The TV groom also touched on people comparing seatbelt laws to mask mandates.

“If you’re one of those people who have shared/seen a meme comparing face mask to seat belts and are wondering why people are still refusing to wear one let me explain it to you [sic]…

“It’s because people have made a conscious decision they’re ok with a runny nose, but not flying through their windshield.”

Now, this clearly diminishes the fact that for many people worldwide, COVID-19 was far more than a “runny nose”.

Some were bedridden for weeks or intubated in the hospital. Many people still suffer from side effects long after the virus has left their system.

Not to mention the 18,000-plus deaths COVID-19 contributed to in Australia alone.

Married at First Sight‘s Harrison Boon questions validity of COVID-19 testing in anti-vax posts

August was a busy month for Harrison in 2020, with the reality star posting almost daily about his gripe with COVID-19 mandates.

On August 12, he questioned, “how 50k tests were conducted… despite statewide lockdowns.”

“Also explain why tests went down 11k for one day.”

However, he seems to forget that undergoing a PCR test or purchasing rapid tests was one of the authorised reasons to leave your home amid the lockdown mandate.

And, for a time, obtaining a positive PCR result was the only way people could gain financial assistance while being unable to work while unwell.

Another insider confirmed to So Dramatic! that Harrison was an “extra COVID conspiracy [theorist]”.

They revealed that in July 2020, the NSW father directly messaged her with a link to challenge lockdown mandates.

“Review of COVID-19 Lock-Down Measures,” the link read. “Australian Federal Government petition.”

Harrison Boon’s mother Noni Boon shares his anti-vax views

Harrison’s mother Noni Boon is also described as a “COVID denier”, with her social media littered with posts questioning the virus and lockdown mandates.

In a Facebook post from August 2021, Noni shared a snap of Harrison on a construction site and described herself as the mother of a tradie “who will NEVER acquiesce”.

“They are desperate in their bid to destroy our ‘mateship’, our friendship, and our cultural loyalty,” she wrote, referring to the Victorian Government’s requirement that tradies be vaccinated to work.

“They are using the very forces we fund for protection ‘against’ us while encouraging us to turn each other in for the ‘crime’ of ‘working to survive’”.

In subsequent posts, Noni pride herself on being “twice unvaccinated and twice unboosted”.

“Never felt better,” she continued. “Natural immunity rules!”

She also dubbed Coronavirus “fluvid” and said it would “soon be revealed for what it ‘really’ is”.

“All ‘lies’ expire and only ‘truth’ is given everlasting life… This will be over soon!”

Was Harrison Boon required to be vaccinated to appear on Married at First Sight 2023?

As previously revealed by So Dramatic!, Harrison was slated to lead The Bachelor Australia 2023.

While sources at the time said he was deemed “too masculine” for the gig, another has since suggested his axing had to do with his vaccination status.

“He is an anti-vaxxer so that might be why he was flicked last minute,” the source said.

So Dramatic! Daily podcast

Now lies the question of whether MAFS participants were required to be vaccinated before appearing on the show.

During the 2022 season, the show’s production company Endemol Shine enforced a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all cast and crew.

It is unclear whether this carried over to the latest iteration.
