Turns out Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Bronte Schofield already knew of Harrison Boon prior to their TV wedding.
In the January 30 premiere episode of the marriage experiment’s 10th season, Bronte was in awe of her new husband — and even more so when she learned he had a “blonde 20-year-old on the outside”!
However, as revealed in episode 251 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the bride’s reaction to Harrison at the end of the aisle may not have been totally genuine.
According to a source close to Abby Miller (A.K.A. Harrison’s outside bae), Bronte was aware Harrison was appearing on the show before she got to the altar.
Yup, apparently, The Bachelors 2023 contestant Jessica Tomlinson previously “sent Bronte a photo of him”.
It was accompanied by a text that read: “This guy has been seeing my friend from Bachelor and he’s going on MAFS too. Keep an eye out for him.” Very ominous, we love it.
“Then lo and behold, he’s the groom Bronte ends up getting,” the source said. “What are the odds?
“Bronte said that she didn’t recognise him when he was there in person but how could you not recognise him?” they continued.
“She apparently said, ‘Oh, I didn’t recognise him from the photo you showed me’.” Which is kinda fair, because Harrison looks like every other coastal tradie out there being a root rat.

Further bamboozling us, Daily Mail Australia reported that the newlyweds matched on Hinge before meeting at the altar. Jeez, these two honestly deserve a Gold Logie for their outstanding performances.
“Bronte sent her sister a screenshot of Harrison’s profile and messages alongside the words, ‘I hate guys that can’t take the hint’,” a source told the publication.
“They were laughing because Harrison was just talking to himself.”
An on-set source also claimed that Bronte brought up their mutual matching on their wedding day. However, Harrison told her “not to feel special” because he was hitting up “hundreds” of other women.
Ah, a chivalrous gentleman…
