Australian Survivor: Heroes vs Villains 2023’s Rogue Rubin has accused Paige Donald of not being worthy of her TV “hero” title after pictures re-emerged of her former teammate hunting “big game”.

The animal activist took to Instagram to call out Paige for being a “big game trophy hunter”, despite claiming she was just a “cattle girl”.

“No HERO [sic] kills for pleasure,” Rogue wrote on her Story.

In the picture originally shared to her Instagram page, Paige can be seen posing with a hunting rifle beside a dead antelope.

She has numerous other photos on her social media posing with dead animals, primarily wild boars.

In a secondary post, Rogue said she did “not want to be anywhere with proud big game trophy hunters”, off the back of her February 5 elimination.

A screenshot of Rogue’s scathing words was shared to the Australian Survivor public Reddit forum.

Despite Rogue’s past controversies, users mostly agreed with the filmmaker’s sentiment, questioning how Paige made it onto the Heroes tribe at all.

“I’m sure they vetted everyone’s social media pages before they did casting, so it’s very weird they’d recruit someone with that full-on Instagram page just full of dead animals she killed, to have on their Heroes tribe,” one user wrote.

The original poster agreed, replying: “Definitely put her and Rogue together because they knew drama would ensue!”

Producers were definitely aware of this and just threw them together for the drama. Neither of these people should have been in the Heroes team,” a third added.

Many were surprised to agree with Rogue, with one fan writing: “I disliked Rogue a lot. A Lot. But she’s not wrong on this.”

“Rogue is right for this bit. Objectively heinous,” another agreed.

Survivor’s Rogue Rubin sparks controversy after claiming she was “more African-American” than Nina Twine

The lastest controversy comes after Rogue’s recent problematic comments towards African-American tribemate Nina Twine.

During the January 30 premiere, Nina told Rogue that she was from North Carolina in the US, before explaining the state was located “on the East Coast. All the way on the other side.”.

Rogue was bizarrely offended that Nina thought she wouldn’t know US geography since she splits her time (and conservation efforts) between America and South Africa.

“I don’t need you to explain it to me like I’m an idiot. I work in the US all the time,” Rogue said.

To make matters worse, the Cape Town-born contestant added: “I’m more African-American than you are, you need to understand that. Because I’m from Africa.”
