The Bachelors Australia 2023 contestants Tash Candyce, Marjorie “Marj” Griffiths and CJ reportedly paid off producers to allow them banned items, such as cigarettes, in the mansion.
The quick-to-ditch trio bribed producers with cash in order to be allowed the contraband items, even though there are always strict rules about what contestants are and aren’t allowed to bring into the mansion, including cigarettes and alcohol.
As reported in episode 248 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one contestant dished that Tash, Marj and CJ managed to convince The Bachelors Australia 2023’s crew to go buy them “ciggies” despite the ban.
“Tash, CJ and Marj were always saying they wanted a ciggie and were always trying to get people that worked on the show to go buy them some,” the insider recalled.
They continued: “One day, they came back to the group and were like: ‘Lucky we bought cash here with us because we just paid one of the producers to go get us ciggies.’ Then they were allowed to go smoke them.
“It was so weird because it wasn’t allowed at all, but for some reason, producers made an exception for them.”

Apparently, Marj also “found a stash of red wine” in the Bachie mansion. How does that even happen?!
A second contestant revealed to podcast host Megan Pustetto that Marj shared the alcohol with a few of her friends, but she was the only one to drink it.
“One day, Marj found a stash of red wine. She gave a couple of the girls a bottle each and they hid it in their things,” the contestant said.
She continued: “All the contestants got given a water bottle with their names on it. Marj put the wine in her water bottle and would be drinking it throughout the day. All day [she was] secretly getting drunk during filming.”
Yet another contestant confirmed the red wine saga, explaining that Marj had claimed she was drinking “beetroot juice”. LOL!
“Marj was running around one day and she dropped her water bottle onto the floor. The red wine came out in front of everyone. She goes, ‘Oh my god, not my beetroot juice’, and quickly cleaned it up,” she explained.
“Her lips were also stained red. So producers then caught onto it and raided the rooms, found all the alcohol hidden and confiscated it all. The contestants all got into huge trouble.” Oopsies!
