ICYMI: So Dramatic! previously reported that Tash Candyce, Marjorie Griffiths and CJ quit the dating series due to being “p*ssed off with how production handled things”.

Now, as revealed in episode 245 of the So Dramatic! podcast, we can exclusively reveal that The Bachelors’ mass exodus was the result of Thomas Malucelli giving Jasmine Absolom a rose over Marnie Klippelt.

During the January 15 episode of The Bachelors, Jasmine said she was gravitating towards the restaurant manager over her Bachie, Jed McIntosh.

As such, she rejected the musician’s rose at the ceremony, which led to Thomas adding her to his lineup.

According to insiders, “all the girls were b*tching about how f*cked it was that Marnie left”.

“All the contestants appeared to have an issue with what went down, i.e. that complete bullsh*t fifth rose from Thomas to Jasmine,” one contestant told host Megan Pustetto.

“CJ went off her rocker about Marnie’s eviction right after it finished. She told producers she wanted to leave then and there, packed her bags and left them by the door.”

Warner Bros. and Channel 10 executives were called in to speak to The Bachelors Australia 2023 contestants amid the mass exodus

CJ reportedly then had a phone call withThe Bachelors‘ head producer and “went off at him” accusing him of “rigging” the show.

“He was so rude, he spoke down to her and said she was being manipulative by using the terms ‘duty of care’, etc.,” they recalled. “She was told to speak to a psychologist or stay in the mansion.”

The following morning, the head of Warner Bros. and Channel 10 came to the mansion, alongside executive producers.

It was then that they “ended up having a big argument with CJ, Tash and Marj”.

“CJ raised the issue to the producers who tried to cover up their BS moves. The three girls got angry at the executives saying that they weren’t holding themselves accountable,” one insider said. “Then they said, ‘Everyone has a problem with it’.”

However, none of their co-stars spoke up, with some claiming they “don’t have a problem” with how Marnie’s eviction came about.

“CJ, Tash and Marge were the only ones who actually had Marnie’s back,” the contestant added. “They hated Jasmine.”

The insider then explained that the Head of Warner Bros. told the girls they can leave the show if they want.

“CJ then stood up and said, ‘Yeah, well I tried to leave last night but you made me stay here’, then walked out. Tash and Marj stood up and did the same.”

The Bachelors Australia 2023 Rose Ceremonies were ‘completely restructured’ after the walkout

According to several contestants, producers quickly capitalised on the walkout situation.

“Next minute, three camera guys come sprinting into the room and start filming the girls leaving,” one source recalled. “Even though they had no makeup up, were still in their PJs, weren’t mic’d up and made it clear they didn’t want to be filmed.

“The girls were saying, “Nup, f*ck this, f*ck the cameras off, you can’t film us if we don’t have makeup on. This isn’t going to make sense. F*ck your show.”

Despite the circumstances of the mass exodus, “they filmed them anyway for the drama”. It was also needed to “make sense that all of a sudden these three girls were gone”.

“They all left that morning,” a contestant said. “It was a sh*t show.”

Due to the drama the Rose Ceremony caused, “they had to completely restructure how eliminations went after that”.

“So each week, it was just one girl from each [Bachelor leaving],” it was revealed. “So many girls left they couldn’t do the three eliminations per night anymore as originally planned.”

HOLY SH*T. Now THIS is the drama we’ve been waiting for!
