The Bachelors Australia 2023 contestants reckon Tash Candyce — among others — were “planted” in the mansion and tasked with creating drama for producers.
ICYMI: So Dramatic! exclusively revealed that Tash and her cronies Marjorie Griffiths and CJ, ditched the show because they were “p*ssed” that Jasmine Absolom was allowed to swap Bachies at the expense of Marnie Klippelt.
However, while they were in the mansion, some cast members clocked them acting suss AF around producers.
As reported in episode 245 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the contestants were shook at how outrageous Tash was acting.
“At first, we actually thought that she had been planted in there by producers to cause drama because she was so intense,” one source admitted.
One of the girls recalled overhearing the Melburnian chatting to a producer, who told her: “You know what your goals are, and you know exactly why you’re here. So just focus on that.” Weird, right?!
“It was very suss how she was constantly having talks with producers and being kept away from everyone,” another contestant said. “She was there for drama. It was obvious.”
While the producers reportedly “loved Tash”, they were also “exhausted” due to having to “micromanage her”.

Suspicions that Tash had been recruited to stir the pot only grew when she was moved to separate living quarters and kept away from her co-stars.
“The producers kept Tash away from the rest of the women whenever the cameras weren’t rolling,” one contestant revealed.
“They made her sleep in a different room and gave her strict instructions not to talk to anyone unless it was on camera.”
Due to the 31-year-old being “such a drama maker”, producers were “worried they would miss stuff” if they allowed Tash to interact with the cast off-camera.
“They couldn’t trust her not to blow up at people,” they continued. “She was uncontrollable.”
As such, Marjorie and CJ joined Tash in sleeping in “one of the interview rooms”.
“They dragged their mattresses out and chilled in there.”
Now, Tash’s bid for screentime doesn’t really come as a surprise, with one insider revealing she was “very clear” about her reason for being on the show.
“She didn’t actually like Jed and she was only there for fame,” they admitted.
“She was telling everyone from day one that she can’t wait to get her blue tick on Instagram.” Hmm, we’ll see about that, hey!
