Brittany Hockley and Abbie Chatfield‘s “slut-shaming” drama has dominated headlines this week, but it’s not the first time the two Bachie alum have clashed over the topic of sex.

ICYMI: On December 13, Abbie blasted the radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands and current co-host Brittany for offensive comments they made about her during an interview with rapper Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

The Masked Singer judge then doubled down on the criticism of her fellow Bachelor star for “upholding patriarchal standards” while labelling Brittany a “pick me girl”.

Clearly feeling the heat of the whole drama, Brittany apologised for her “misogynistic tone” but Abbie was having none of it.

Abbie Chatfield believes Brittany Hockley’s slut-shaming was “repeated behaviour”

During one of many of her Instagram rebuttals, Abbie alluded that this wasn’t even the first time Brittany had slut-shamed someone.

“This is also, in my experience on [Bachelor in Paradise], a repeated behaviour. I won’t say more but this whole thing hasn’t been shocking to me,” she wrote.

While she remained tight-lipped on the issue, we now know exactly what Abbie was referring to…

In fact, Abbie exclusively told us (yep, seriously!) about her previous run-in with Brittany way back in 2020.

As reported in episode two of the So Dramatic! podcast, Abbie told host Megan Pustetto that Brittany and Laura Byrne had always been “conservative” about sex.

“Britt Hockley’s nice, but she’s not my vibe. They’re very conservative,” Abbie dished soon after appearing on Bachelor in Paradise.

“[On BIP, she was] telling me that I shouldn’t sleep with Ciarran [Stott] because it gives it up too easily,” she recalled.

Abbie continued: “That’s just not my thing, as my game is being like ‘do you want to penetrate me?’.

“Pass, you know what I mean? I’m sending titty pics to random men in America, I’m not going to be like ‘oh no, I’m not going to f*ck him’.” You tell ’em, babes!

Laura Byrne was “awful” to Abbie Chatfield after her stint on The Bachelor Australia

On December 15, Laura Byrne fanned the flames by calling out Abbie’s “hypocrisy” following the announcement that she’s set to host the new reality dating show, FBoy Island.

So Dramatic! Daily podcast

Laura called Abbie out for hosting “a show that encourages men to lie to women and manipulate their emotions in order to win a cash prize”.

“Talks about dismantling the patriarchy… Announces that they are hosting FBoy Island,” she wrote in a series of Instagram Story posts. “That is enough internet for me today. The absolute hypocrisy.”

Following the snarky post, Abbie took to her own Story to completely rip into Laura’s comments. After defending her new hosting gig, she called out Laura for shaming her on The Bachelor in 2019.

“If you really are a staunch feminist and are going to dissect this show that hasn’t been created in Australia yet, and if you are reformed from when you shamed me for The Bachelor – remember that?

“That was really mean – then you would have DM’d me when this whole thing broke,” she hit back.

Abbie concluded, “If my co-host said something f***ed up to someone, I would DM them and say ‘hey, I’ve spoken to Rohan [Edwards], it’s really inappropriate. I’m so sorry.’ But no, you’ve chosen the other path.”

What did Laura Byrne say about Abbie Chatfield on The Bachelor Australia?

Abbie again remained pretty elusive in her latest Insta Story, but she previously gave us the tea in the SAME exclusive interview way back when…

“I just don’t vibe with him [Matty J Johnson] and @ladyandthecat,” Abbie said, referring to the Life Uncut host as her Instagram username.

She continued: “It’s not savage; it’s just true. She was awful about me on the show [The Bachelor]. Just unnecessary, just going along with the [villain] edit, you know. Whatever.”

Abbie explained that Laura had posted a Story of her watching Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.

“She uploaded a story of her watching me on the show and was like ‘look at me, how much I don’t believe what she’s saying’,” Abbie said.

She concluded: “You’re a mean girl.”

And looks like some things never change, hey?
