Laura Byrne has called out Abbie Chatfield for her “hypocrisy” following the announcement that she’s set to host the new reality dating show, FBoy Island.

Yes, friends, just when you thought the saga might have been winding down, another reality star has thrown in their two cents on the matter!

ICYMI: Abbie blasted Kyle Sandilands and current co-host, Brittany Hockley, for offensive comments they made about her in a recent interview with Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

While every man and his dog have come out in support of the Masked Singer judge amid the drama, a solitary defender of Brittany has risen from the ashes in the form of her Life Uncut co-host, Laura.

On December 15, Abbie revealed via Instagram that she had nabbed a hosting gig for new reality series, FBoy Island.

The show sees three women try to work out which of their 24 suitors are “nice guys” and which are “self-proclaimed Fboys.”

Laura then called Abbie out for hosting “a show that encourages men to lie to women and manipulate their emotions in order to win a cash prize”.

“Talks about dismantling the patriarchy… Announces that they are hosting FBoy Island,” she wrote in a series of Instagram Story posts. “That is enough internet for me today.”

She concluded by saying: “The absolute hypocrisy.”

Abbie Chatfield slams Laura Byrne’s criticism of her hosting FBoy Island

Do you think Ms. Chatfield would willingly take a comment like that lying down? Absolutely not!

Following the snarky post, the Bachelor alum took to her own stories to completely rip into Laura’s comments.

“I can tell you that I would not sign up for this show if that was the premise of the show, Laura,” Abbie began in a video posted to her Instagram Story.

“So I think you need to maybe address what your co-host did rather than trying to retaliate in this very passive-aggressive way. At least tag me!”

Going on to describe the forthcoming reality series she’s set to host, Abbie continued, “Don’t let the name fool you and don’t let someone who’s trying to retaliate fool you as well.”

She then called out the podcast host for shaming her on The Bachelor in 2019.

“If you really are a staunch feminist and are going to dissect this show that hasn’t been created in Australia yet, and if you are reformed from when you shamed me for The Bachelor – remember that? That was really mean – then you would have DM’d me when this whole thing broke,” she hit back.

Abbie concluded, “If my co-host said something f***ed up to someone, I would DM them and say ‘hey, I’ve spoken to Rohan [Edwards], it’s really inappropriate. I’m so sorry.’ But no, you’ve chosen the other path.”

Yung Gravy speaks out on slut-shaming comments made to him about Abbie Chatfield

Rapper Yung Gravy has also spoken out about slut-shaming comments said to him by Kyle and Brittany, telling The Brag Media that he “didn’t really like” the pair’s offensive comments about the reality star.

“I remember that interview, I remember them saying that. I was like, this is kinda wack,” he said.

“Hopefully they’re close friends. Cause I, I didn’t really like how [Kyle] reacted to it.”

He added that a date with the podcast host was definitely still on the cards.

“Abbie got me on the radio in the first place because she sent me a DM. So, I guess I’m going to see Abbie at some point,” he said.

While Brittany has since publicly apologised for the offensive comments, Abbie rejected her apology.
