Twitter is feeling mighty sus’ about the Love Island Australia Super Fans’ bizarre decisions

Love Island Australia fans on Twitter have been baffled throughout the 2022 season by the Super Fans’ bizarre decisions.

During the December 13 episode, the Super Fans voted Tina Provis, Al Perkins and Phoebe Spiller as the “Islanders that they most want [to see] find love, ” ensuring their safety in the villa a little longer.

But that left the season’s REAL faves Claudia Bonifazio and Austen Bugeja in the lurch, causing Twitter users to seriously doubt who these Super Fans really were.

The chosen trio were given the final decision on which couple to send home, ultimately choosing Stella Hutcheon and Hugh Wilcox.

While most agreed that it was Stella’s time to (finally) leave the Love Island villa, many fans questioned whether the Super Fans were fake and producers were calling the shots.

Who Are Love Island Australia 2022’s Super Fans?

A few months before filming began, ITV asked for “Love Island tragics” or “die-hard fans who know everything about the show”, to come forward.

After being chosen, the small group were given access to a feed in the villa, allowing them to (allegedly) participate in audience voting.

“For anyone watching it, it feels exactly the same. The only difference is, we’re screening it now,” claimed ITV Studio’s executive producer Alex Mavroidakis on the TV Reload podcast.

But despite Alex’s affirmations, Twitter has certainly noticed the difference!

Love Island Australia fans don’t want Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd to have any more screentime

Tina and Mitch Hibberd‘s reunion has been the most hotly contested storyline on Love Island Australia 2022, but not in the way producers had been hoping.

Fans have repeatedly called out the showrunners for pushing their “epic romance” on viewers when nobody really cares.

Tina being chosen as a “Super Fan favourite” only reaffirmed fans’ suspicions.
