After weeks of strenuous renovations and a sh*t-ton of drama, The Block 2022 finally has a date for when the Gisborne homes will go to auction.

While the yuge 10-acre properties officially hit the market in September, fans have been dying to know when they’ll be able to watch one team walk away as the 2022 champions.

Tom and Sarah-Jane, Rachel and Ryan, Sharon and Ankur, Dylan and Jenny, and Omar and Oz have all worked tirelessly to transform the Gisborne South houses, which will go under the hammer on Saturday, November 5.

However, viewers won’t be privy to which Blockheads win until the auctions air the following day on Sunday, November 6.

Channel Nine is yet to confirm whether there’ll be an Open Inspection for fans to visit the builds after the pandemic prohibited any from occurring in 2020 and 2021.

Given the size of the properties, it’s expected The Block 2022 will see record-breaking sales for the hit series.

Jaws dropped when The Block 2022 listings hit the Domain site, with indicative prices for the homes ranging from $4 million to $4.4 million. HOLY SH*T!

According to the real estate juggernaut, these listings are at least $2,900,000 above Gisborne’s median house price of $1,100,000.

While they’re *technically* not allowed to play favourites, the judges have given a wink-wink, nudge-nudge indication of which team has positioned themselves as top contenders on auction day.

Chatting to Shelley Craft on The Block Official podcast, judge Darren Palmer said Tom and Sarah-Jane are the duo to beat. Particularly after taking out their first room reveal win with their master suite.

“They have done such great rooms, and they have consistently been right up there in terms of their finishes and designs,” he confessed.

“And they are really front-runners in this competition, as far as I’m concerned.”
