The Real Love Boat Australia 2022′s Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody is an expert at finding love at sea, having met his wife Joanne on an IRL cruise.
The couple met when the Studio 10 producer was just 19 years old and working as a singer on a cruise ship in 2010.
“She was a passenger. We met in Turkey. I think I was doing an Elvis Presley tribute show at the time,” Daniel told ABC radio in 2019.
Daniel and Joanne tied the knot in 2016 and share two children together – sons Reggie and Arlo.
The couple keep their private lives on the down-low, and honestly, good for them! But we’ve got to admit, we love seeing snippets of their heartwarming family dynamics.
Back in 2020, Daniel shared a hilarious video of him dancing with a pack of nappies at his home in Bega, and it’s a big vibe. He used the tweet to announce he was going on paternity leave.
Daniel has also described his wife on Twitter as the “love of his life”, and OMG, where can we find a Doody for ourselves?

Having met his wife on a cruise, Daniel knows a thing or two about finding love on the high seas.
His official title on the show is “head of entertainment”, and he plans all of the off-boat adventures and dates for the Real Love Boat contestants.
When he’s not making date plans that give us all major FOMO, Daniel is playing “cupid” with Below Deck alum Hannah Ferrier.
Okay, so it does seem like 85 per cent of their job is just sneaking around and hiding like a couple of Scooby-Doo villains.
But the other part of their job description is quite important, we swear!
They make most of the big decisions about who gets to date and doling out one-on-one time for certain singles.
