Darren McMullen may have come second place on Celebrity Apprentice Australia, but it looks like his TV career is going to be smooth sailing from now on! Landing himself a brand new gig on The Real Love Boat.
Darren will be starring alongside Below Deck’s Hannah Ferrier and Studio 10′s Daniel Doody in the new reality show, as they work to help some of Australia’s most eligible singles find love.
Hannah will feel right at home sailing on Princess Cruises across the Mediterranean, but it’s up to the entire star-studded cast to make sure none of The Real Love Boat contestants ends up feeling like a fish out of water.
The Real Love Boat’s Darren McMullen Has Been Busy with Reality TV Appearances
Off the back of this announcement, Darren competed on Celebrity Apprentice Australia, where he raised the most amount of money the series had ever seen for his charity, Feel the Magic.
He’s no stranger to travelling across Europe either, having previously starred in a six-part mini-series called Darren McMullen’s Outsiders, where he tried out a bunch of different subcultures and “taboo” experiences (yeah, more taboo than that prawn outfit he wore on The Masked Singer Australia).
When Will the Real Love Boat Air in Australia?
On June 23, Hannah revealed on Instagram that they were currently in the process of filming.
“After more than a decade at sea in the Mediterranean, I am so excited to join The Real Love Boat and help all our amazing passengers find love,” Hannah wrote.
“I am currently filming in the Mediterranean and can’t wait to share with you the journey of our beautiful passengers finding love – not to mention my favourite backdrop in the world – the Med.”
Channel 10 hasn’t announced an official air date for Real Love Boat but we have a feeling this new show will go swimmingly!
