Married at First Sight Australia 2023 is set to spark up our lives with the addition of intruder groom Rupert Bugden, an electrician from Brisbane.
So Dramatic! previously dropped the deets about intruder bride Evelyn Ellis, and now we have intel on her TV hubby, Rupert.
The Daily Mail revealed that the sparky was clocked on September 26, filming his wedding at Sydney’s Grounds of Alexandria.
According to the outlet, Rupert is a “genuine bloke” (aren’t they all, to begin with?) who is on the hunt for “something serious”.
“He’s not playing games,” a mate of the Queenslander dished. “He’s been unlucky when it comes to finding the right girl and only signed up for this hoping he might actually find the one.”
Welp, good luck with that, buddy!
His Instagram has attracted just over 1,250 followers, compared to his TV wife’s social media, which boasts 65,000 fans.

In a teaser for the intruder arrivals, fans were privy to the awkward moment in which Rupert dropped his wedding rings during his grand entrance.

As reported in episode 213 of the So Dramatic! podcast, 26-year-old Evelyn already made waves on TV in 2016.
The reality star found herself at the centre of viewer complaints when she appeared on Big Brother UK during a five-year stint of living in England.
The criticisms came after Evelyn shared a steamy kiss with another female contestant in a spa while topless, under the direction of Marco Pierre White Jr — yes, the son of that scary AF MasterChef guest star.
Despite the public TV pash, the model confessed she wasn’t looking for love.
“I feel like a guy that’s good enough for me would not be in the Big Brother house,” Evelyn told viewers at the time. And what, a bloke on Married at First Sight is?!
According to her Big Brother bio, Evelyn “admits that she comes across as intimidating and stuck up”. Christ on a bike, MAFS 2023 just got all the more interesting!
