The Kyle and Jackie O Show has identified a new dating show, Grown Up Love, as the Aussie series struck down by a thrush outbreak.
Production sources recently revealed that the fungal infection hit several female crew members of an unnamed show. It came after they were prescribed antibiotics to douse a mass infection of gastro.
Representatives from Love Island, Beauty and the Geek, Heartbreak Island and The Real Love Boat all denied that yeast infections were rife on their sets.
However, KIIS FM’s staple program received a tip-off on July 26 that had curious minds thrushing — sorry, we mean rushing — to find out which show had been affected.
Reading the anonymous message on air, Jackie O Henderson said: “The thrush outbreak was on a new Channel [Nine] show called Grown Up Love.” OMG!
The tip-off also revealed that the show is being filmed “out of Sydney at the moment by ITV” Studios.
What Is Grown Up Love?
Grown Up Love follows single parents aged between 40 and 60 years old who are looking for love.
Participants are also required to have a child over the age of 18.
Hosted by popular media personality, Kate Langbroek, the show is predicted to follow the format of the American reality series, My Mom, Your Dad.
The HBO Max series premiered in January 2022 and follows a bunch of single parents who move into a house together.
Behind the scenes, their “college-aged” kids serve as matchmakers during the experience and surely, they can’t do a worse job than the MAFS experts, right? RIGHT?!
