In what seems to be an amped-up version of Love Island, Heartbreak Island has sourced the sexiest singles from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US and dumped them on a Fijian island to get their flirt on.
Oh, and to try to win $100,000 in cold hard cash!
With f*ckboys and romance aplenty, Heartbreak Island will premiere on Thursday, August 4, exclusively on 7plus.
With the highly anticipated new series set to take the reality TV genre to “juicy new heights”, fans can indulge in the spiciest drama when new episodes drop weekly.
How Does Heartbreak Island Australia Work?
Modelled off the New Zealand series of the same name, Heartbreak Island follows 16 “Heartbreakers” as they pair up, battle it out in challenges, as well as stay (or stray!) from their baes in an attempt to avoid elimination.
“Disruptors” (A.K.A the show’s answer to “bombshells“) will also be sent to the island to test couples and slyly uncover who’s there for love, a summer romp or revenge!
There will be love-bombing, benching, cushioning, situationships, betrayals and blindsided. And yep, you’re definitely going to be reminded of that one dropkick you dated in your early 20s…
Who Is On Heartbreak Island?
If the contestants aren’t your cup of tea, we guarantee you’re going to fall head over flip-flops for Heartbreak Island‘s host, Clinton Randell.
The hunky TV and radio personality hailing from New Zealand is ready to guide the Heartbreakers through couplings and combustion.
“I cheered, laughed, teared up, stirred the pot, threw in a few twists, and made life-long friends. I can’t wait for viewers to see it,” he said in a statement.
As for the Heartbreakers — the island is chock-full of polarising personalities from varied international backgrounds.
