Big Brother VIP Australia star Imogen Anthony has broken her silence following news that her ex-boyfriend Kyle Sandilands is expecting a baby with his fiancé Tegan Kynaston.
Due to her typically outspoken nature, fans were surprised when Imogen refrained from commenting on her ex’s announcement right away.
A day after Kyle broke the news live on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the reality star has released a statement, sending her well-wishes to the 50-year-old and Tegan.
“I wish them nothing but love and happiness,” the 31-year-old wrote on Instagram on Tuesday morning.
Amongst the well-wishes, we couldn’t help but notice that Imogen slipped in a cheeky dig at her ex.
“Kids were something I was nowhere near ready for, still not,” she said. “For me to have done that, [it] would have needed to be first priority and work will always be number one for [Kyle].”
She added in a heart emoji directly afterwards, just to soften the blow.
Imogen added that she “hopes things change” for Kyle as “all he has ever wanted is to reflect something that he never had, a home that isn’t broken”.
She also lamented that she wished “he would have been more honest with [her]” so she could “move on with [her] life too”.
Imogen concluded the lengthy post by stating that she hopes Kyle “can clear his personal Karma”. And, well, that was one hell of a long way to say “congrats”…
Kyle Sandilands Announced His Baby News on Monday Morning
Kyle and his former staffer-turned-girlfriend, Tegan, announced the exciting news on Monday morning.
‘We’re having a baby!’ Kyle declared as the entire KIIS FM studio cheered. “We’re having a fricken baby, can you believe it?”
He added: “I couldn’t be happier.”
The former Big Brother star also revealed that the baby’s due date is “around August” and he even hinted that he may live stream the birth and film it for his radio show. Wait, what?
The couple, who have been together since 2019, don’t yet know the sex of the baby but said they have already decided on a boy’s and girl’s name. They also shared a picture of the sonogram to Instagram.
When Did Kyle Sandilands and Imogen Anthony Split?
Kyle and Tegan, who became engaged last year, began dating after the former Australian Idol judge split from long-term girlfriend Imogen.
He announced his break-up with the Big Brother VIP star after eight years together live on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in November 2019.
He told listeners the pair “haven’t been living with each other” for months and their relationship had simply “run its course.”
“We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately, it’s run its course,” he said.
