In early February Kyle Sandilands revealed he and his fiancée Tegan Kynaston were expecting their first child together.
Kyle and his former staffer, who have been dating since 2019, announced the exciting news live on his radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, on February 14.
“We’re having a baby!” he declared as the entire KIIS FM studio cheered. “We’re having a fricken baby, can you believe it?”
He added: “I couldn’t be happier.”
Kyle and Teagan Have Revealed Their Baby’s Gender
On February 25 Kyle and Teagan announced the baby’s gender via the Kyle and Jackie O Instagram account.
“Baby Sandilands is…. a BOY!!” they captioned a carousel of images and videos from the gender reveal.
In typical Kyle style, the announcement was OTT AF.
Several jets flew over Sydney Harbour spraying blue pigment behind them, revealing that Kyle and Teagan are expecting “a little prince”.

The former Big Brother star also revealed that the baby’s due date is “around August” and he even hinted that he may live stream the birth and film it for his radio show.
The couple don’t yet know the sex of the baby but said they have already decided on boy’s and girl’s names. They also shared a picture of the sonogram to Instagram.
Kyle’s co-host Jackie O Henderson told the couple she “couldn’t be happier for them.”
“It’s going to change your lives forever,” she said. “I am so happy for you guys.”
The couple learned Tegan was expecting last week.
The former Australian Idol judge also admitted that his manager Bruno Bouchet had to deflect questions from reporters after Tegan was seen sporting a slight bump in public on February 2.
When Did Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston First Reveal They Were Trying For a Baby?
The couple, who got engaged in Queensland over the Christmas holidays, began trying for a baby last year.
Kyle also revealed in January he hadn’t ruled out having children despite being in his fifties.
“It is definitely not off the cards,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
“It has never really been on my priority list and I think that is just because I was that kid that dragged around my childhood issues from my parents’ divorce and this and that.”
He admitted he wasn’t always interested in having children, but came around to the idea after spending time with other parents, including his longtime friend John Ibrahim and his partner, Sarah Budge.
Kyle had first let slip his baby plans in August during a live segment with KIIS FM‘s psychic Georgina Walker.
Kyle said that sex lacks romance and passion when it feels scheduled – like when it’s planned for the most fertile days of a woman’s monthly cycle.
He made the admission after revealing that sex is different when a couple is trying to get pregnant.
He then acknowledged he and Tegan were indeed trying to conceive.
“We have decided that we’ll try for a baby, I suppose,” he said. “There’s a lot of pressure. I didn’t want to bring it up in case she feels pressure.”
When Did Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston Get Engaged?
Kyle and Tegan had been together for two years before the shock jock proposed to Tegan while on holidays on NSW’s North Coast late last year.
“I apologise to the women of the world, as I am officially off the market,” Kyle said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show at the time.
He said Tegan had “no clue” the engagement was coming.
A video shared to the radio show’s social media channels showed that Kyle spared no expense, hiring a venue and organising fireworks during a trip to Port Douglas.
The couple first debuted their romance on New Year’s Eve in 2019, when Tegan shared a picture of herself kissing Sandilands in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Two months earlier, she had denied rumours she was dating the radio shock jock.

They began dating after Sandilands’ split from long-term girlfriend Imogen Anthony.
He announced his break-up with the Big Brother VIP star after eight years together live on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in November 2019.
He told listeners the pair “haven’t been living with each other” for months and their relationship had simply “run its course.”
“We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course,” he said.
He was also previously married to Scandal’us singer Tamara Jaber from 2008 to 2010.
