“I genuinely lost everything,” she said of her 2019 separation from Kyle, following eight years together. “So many people used me, and I just feel like, this was my comeback.”

She then compared herself to a “wounded animal”, telling her housemates that she had so much to prove in the competition in a bid to save herself from eviction.

“I think so many people doubted me and thought I was a one-trick pony. And I am not…at all. I save ponies!” the model exclaimed, referring to her conservation efforts with her chosen charity, Zambi Wildlife Retreat.

“That’s what I gave my life to,” she said. “It’s like the wounded animal theory, when you feel so wounded you just want to fix everything else around you.”

Imogen Anthony Said She Had A Point To Prove In The Big Brother VIP hotel

It’s not the first time Imogen has opened up about Kyle. She earlier confessed that she entered the Big Brother hotel to prove that she could support Zambi Wildlife Retreat without the help of her famous ex.

“I want to get across how much it means to me being here for Zambi,” she revealed. “I did a whole bunch of stuff for Zambi when I was with my ex.”

In 2018, Imogen and Kyle famously hosted a charity ball in honour of the organisation.

The reality star also expressed that it “kills [her] so much” to know that the media “only cared about [Kyle]”.

“I just wanted to show Zambi that it didn’t come down to him, it comes down to me now,” the model said.

Despite her best efforts and tugging at the heartstrings of her housemates, Imogen fell short of securing a place in the Big Brother VIP final three.

Following her eviction, the former fashion designer confessed the show had given her her “spark back”.

“I feel like after doing that I can do almost anything,” she revealed. “I’m not just someone’s ex – I’m me. I’m Imogen.”
