Love Island Australia 2018 fan-fave Josh Moss has returned to Spain for an exciting new gig as part of the 2022 season.
For the first time since 2019, the famed dating show has been filmed in Mallorca (and in an all-new villa, no less!), and fans can tune into the drama from October 31 on 9Now.
Josh — who finished in third place alongside Amelia Marni — has recently been breadcrumbing fans with a return to the show, teasing that he has “got a big announcement coming very soon”.
Now, as reported in episode 225 of the So Dramatic! podcast, we can exclusively reveal what TF the 29-year-old has in store.
According to an insider, Josh “was in Mallorca to do interviews for Love Island“.
“Kinda like an Afterparty thing, but not live. Just for the web series,” they said.
ICYMI: Afterparty continued the fun of Love Island Australia 2021 with a live talk show hosted by Abbie Chatfield after each episode. Josh also made an appearance during some instalments.
However, with the series returning to Spain and Abbie now a panellist on The Masked Singer, we suspect Nine had to shake up their plan for additional Love Island content for 2022.
Josh’s cast interviews are also likely pre-recorded due to Love Island Australia 2022‘s first-ever go at being filmed ahead of its broadcast date.
Josh Moss Isn’t the Only Love Island Australia Star to Return In 2022
While Josh is only returning to the show in a hosting role, two of the series’ most beloved Islanders have reentered the villa for a second shot at love.
As reported in episode 223 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Love Island 2021’s Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd are BACK!
Even though they continued dating after winning last year’s season, the couple broke up in February 2021; and they’ve both remained relatively single.
According to a VERY reliable source, the pair — who disappeared off socials for ALL of August — will be joining the new Islanders in Mallorca. And let’s pray to the reality TV gods that there will be fireworks since their split was less than amicable…
“Tina and Mitch are also going to be bombs this season,” the Insider dished. “They enter the show midway through.
“Producers are obviously hoping for fireworks between the pair, which they’re hoping results in ratings.”
