The Block 2024 judge Shaynna Blaze was reportedly “furious” after producers forced her to give a room a high score during the latest Room Reveals.
During the October 13 episode, Haydn Wise and Ricky Recard won their first room reveal of the season.

The best friend duo scored 28 points for their arcade-inspired rumpus and games area, tying them with sisters Maddy and Charlotte Harry.
However, fans were a tad suss when Shaynna gave the boys the second 10 she’d dished out all season.
Viewers had every right to question this score because insiders told Yahoo Lifestyle that the producers put the judge up to it.

“Shaynna knew there was backlash on the way, as she was told to score Ricky and Haydn’s room high,” the insider spilled. “There’s no way Shaynna would give a room with a pool table a 10.” Ouch.
The Block‘s Shaynna Blaze refuses to fabricate scores in the future
The insider added that the 61-year-old was “furious” that producers interfered with the storyline.
“We know the judges get influenced to suit storylines that are unfolding. But this one didn’t sit well with Shaynna, who had her well-regarded brand as an interior designer to think of,” they explained.
“When you’re a home stylist, and that’s what people know you for, it’s a hard sell to get Shaynna to lie about what she thinks of a room.”
The source added that this wasn’t the first time the interior designer had been forced to lie on-screen, and she wasn’t thrilled about it.
And if she does return to judge the 2025 season, she wants it to be the “last” time she has to fabricate scores. Fair enough!
