The Block 2024‘s Maddy and Charlotte Harry have addressed their co-star’s “cruel” bullying towards them on the show.
After replacing Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire, who quit halfway through the series, the sisters have been relentlessly “bullied” by their co-stars.
From being excluded by their fellow Blockheads to getting accused of “lying” about their previous renovation experience, it’s safe to say they’ve had a tough run.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, the duo admitted it’s been “triggering” watching their mistreatment play out on TV.

“It made me really upset,” Maddy said. “These people were being so cruel to us, and I don’t really understand why.”
Maddy said she strives to “be kind” in “every circumstance”, so she struggled when the cast were horrible to her for no reason.
“We didn’t do anything to them to deserve that behaviour,” she said, referencing a time when Kylie and Brad Baker refused to clap for them after they won a room reveal.
“We were nothing but supportive when [Kylie and Brad] won the week before. So, to not get that in return was disappointing, considering they’re way older than us and have four children.
“You just kind of expect more from any human, really,” she admitted.
The Block‘s Maddy & Charlotte don’t know why their cast mates were ‘hostile’ towards them
The sisters also claimed they didn’t know why their cast mates were so “hostile” towards them.
“It made us really upset because we were new,” Maddy recalled. “It’s like when you’re the new kid at school, you expect someone to show you the ropes. Just a little bit of inclusion was what we were expecting.”
However, she was shocked when her co-stars “went out of their way” to “stir the pot and be rude”.
“It’s gang mentality. It’s bullying, and it’s not kind,” she remarked.
Despite failing to build friendships with the other teams, they bonded with 2023 fan faves Eliza and Liberty Paschke, who made a guest appearance during the September 30 episode.

“We were so lonely, isolated, and unsupported by the other contestants, so to have Eliza and Liberty, who are just such a breath of fresh air, was exactly what we needed at the right time,” Maddy spilled.
The sisters said meeting the former Blockheads was the “best experience ever” because it made them feel like part of “The Block family”.
“We had dreams as kids like, ‘We’re gonna have this Block family, and you’re bonded for life, and you have this shared experience’,” Maddy added.
“So to not have that with the other contestants, but to have that with people like Eliza and Liberty was just so precious for us. It was exactly what we needed.”
And we have a feeling they’re gonna be lifelong friends!
