Fans have slammed The Block 2024 cast for “overreacting” after discovering newbie team Maddy and Charlotte Harry‘s secret past.
Since Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire‘s sensational exit, their replacement team Maddy and Charlotte have copped a lot of sh*t from their co-stars.
Things got even more spicy in the September 22 episode when the Blockheads found out the sisters already had experience flipping houses.

Speaking to TV Week, Haydn Wise claimed the girls “flat-out lied” and told the cast they were accountants.
“They didn’t mention they’d flipped houses. They asked for advice on how to do things within a build, yet they obviously knew it all,” he dished.
However, during the episode, the sister duo claimed they’d already told co-star Mimi Belperio about their renovation experience.
“We told her our story of renovating houses. We never lied,” Maddy said. “If the others had asked about our experience, we would’ve shared it, but they never did. It’s not on us to tell them the nitty-gritty.”
Fans took to X to blast the contestants for “overreacting” to the girls’ past experience, stating they were acting like “bullies”.
The Block fans say Maddy & Charlotte’s past experience isn’t any different from entering the show as a tradie
Others pointed out that the sisters’ experience was no different to Brad Baker and Ricky Recard coming on the show as tradies, or Haydn entering the competition as a plumber.
Elsewhere on social media, another fan pointed out that Brad was “qualified in two trades”.
“Does that count as cheating too?” they asked.
“So many other contestants have had experience in renovating their properties so I don’t see why the others should be angry,” another added. “Not to mention how many are tradesmen… Overreaction much?” Hear, hear!
